Attorney Jurkiewicz focuses his practice on Connecticut family law including collaborative divorce, mediation and adversarial divorce, as well as real estate, probate and estate administration. He also handles consumer and business bankruptcy for individuals, and businesses— including Chapter 7 liquidations, Chapter 13 wage earner reorganizations, and Chapter 11 reorganizations. Ed's extensive trial and appellate experience in both state and federal courts, coupled with comprehensive mediation training, ensures thorough representation for his clients.
Attorney Jurkiewicz holds a Bachelor’s degree from UConn and a Juris Doctor degree from UConn Law. He has chaired several municipal committees and commissions in his hometown. Attorney Jurkiewicz drafted and spearheaded the passage of an ordinance forming a conservation commission then served as its first chairman, recently chaired a committee which completed a comprehensive review, revision and digitization of town ordinances, and drafted and obtained voter approval of an ordinance regulating the use of drones.
